The Communication and Information Department of the Foreign Ministry gives to American journalists the opportunity to gather detailed information about contemporary France through meetings with high-level men and women in various walks of life, field trips in Paris and elsewhere in France.

Among other missions, the press and media section is tasked with maintaining close relations with the local media and the official institutions, with explaining French government policy in foreign and domestic affairs and with updating the Consulate’s website.
The Press Office is also in charge of updating the Consulate’s Website and Facebook Page as well as the Consulate’s monthly online newsletter « Bonjour Southeast ».
