Culturesfrance Residences programmes give significant support to French creation in every discipline, helping artists to be more mobile by giving them the chance to travel and stay abroad. This immersion also offers them the opportunity to expand their professional network and to enter new markets. Every year forty artists benefit from this system, either via the flexible grant program "Extra Muros", enabling them to stay in the country of their choice. CulturesFrance also supports foreign artistic creation, allowing artists to stay in France thanks to the Cité Internationale des Arts program.

STUDIOS IN NEW YORK
An apartment and a studio are made available to fine artists who want to stay in New York to develop a research project in partnership with the ministry of Culture and Communication and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States.

CULTURESFRANCE - HORS LES MURS (all countries)
By including literature and research in the "Hors Les Murs" residency program, Culturesfrance now offers new prospects in these areas. It will be possible for the French prize winners to establish fruitful links, not only with creators, but also with academics and foreign researchers, enabling them to develop a greater diversity of projects over the long term.

TRIANGLE STUDIO (New York)
A workshop is available for artists who want to stay in New York to develop a research project with Triangle Studio in New York, the cultural service of the French Embassy in New York and the Ministry of Culture and Communication.

CITY OF PARIS RESIDENCES – Paris/New York
The chosen artist (Visual arts, photography, movie/video, multimedia) will participate in the residencies program Workspace of Lower Manhattan Cultural Council for six months. The chosen artist will have free access to a working studio in the LMCC building, where 20 or 30 New-York artists can work at the same time. Each 19m2 studio is located in an « open space » furnished with a work table and Internet access. The artist will benefit from privileged contacts in the professional and artistic milieu of New-York (commissioner, gallery owners…) as well as an accompaniment in their different processes.

The Cité Internationale des Arts program is addressed to foreign artists in every field of contemporary artistic creation, fine arts, design, photography, fashion, new technologies, dance, and performing arts, who want to develop a specific project of creation in France.

RESIDENCE OF RECOLLETS INTERNATIONAL CENTER
The City Hall of Paris and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs offer foreign artists a residency program at the Recollets International Accommodation and Exchange Centre, a prestigious building inaugurated in 2003, on the banks of Saint Martin Canal, in the heart of Paris, to foreign artists specialized in any discipline.
